24 Mar We can’t neglect our spiritual life and be fruitful
Bible Reading: Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
Over the past few years, I have made various attempts to plant a fruitful vegetable garden. Oh, how I dreamed of filling my plate with homegrown vegetables. Yet, bearing fruit proved much harder than I realized.
What was the downfall of my garden? It was lack of attention.
I would spend weeks at a time neglecting my poor garden. By the time I managed to water my plants, I found them suffering greatly from disease and overrun by pests. After a quick water, I again left my garden for several weeks. After several months of neglect, there was little evidence that a garden ever existed.
Oh, how the church is suffering from spiritual neglect!
