Family & Roots
I was born in Toledo, Ohio. My wife Jamie and I were high school sweethearts at Colonial High in Orlando. We have been blessed with nine children: Caleb, Achaia, Aleah, Aiyana, Abby, Aralynn, and Amiah are still living at home and we have two adult children, Matthew and Arielle.
Raised in a Lutheran church, I always believed in “God”, but thought good works would be enough to get me to Heaven. Then I was invited to Aloma Baptist Church by some friends when I was a Junior in high school, and heard how our works cannot save us, and about God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9) for the first time. In 1983 I accepted Christ as my Savior.
Right now the Lord is teaching me not to worry so much about tomorrow, and the future. Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
I attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, Valencia Community College in Orlando and Received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.
