Testimony & Calling
I received Christ at the age of 9 at Central Baptist Church, Mobile, AL. Dr. A.E. Carpenter was my Pastor. I was blessed being raised in a Christian family that loved the Lord and His church.
At the age of 15, I surrendered to ‘full time Christian service’ at Central with Dr. Al Finch as my Pastor. I felt I would be a Pastor.

In 1965, I left for William Carey College at the age of 16. While at William Carey, I was a Youth Director and became involved in the Public Relations Department of the college.
In 1967, I transferred to Mobile Baptist College, now the University of Mobile. I worked in their Public Relations Department and worked as a Youth Director for three years while finishing college.
After graduating from college, I entered the insurance business marketing insurance to churches all across the U.S. I have been active in ministry as a staff member and volunteer for over 50 years.
I met Arleen Dodd while I was Youth Ministry at Travis Road Baptist Church. We got married in 1972. We have three grown biological and one adopted children and eleven grandchildren.
We moved to Deltona in 1974 where we currently live.
I love to bass fish and fly fish. I love to be with my family. I enjoy eating – way too much! I love Disney movies and collect Disney memorabilia.
